Jason graduated from the University in Regina with a double major in Political Science and Sociology. His successful career has taken him from Group Specialist in Regina to running the Large Group and Pension office for Desjardin in Calgary. His entrepreneurial drive led him to start Navigate Financial Group in 2002. Having worked both sides, Jason has an insight that is invaluable to his clients. With expansion, Jason has shared his experience, knowledge and integrity across the provinces. He values the relationships he has with his clients and enjoys both the social & professional time he spends with them. Out of office Jason invests his time and efforts to support local children programs. A father of three, he has coached many sports teams. When he isn’t busy at the hockey arena, Jason enjoys traveling with his family.
Brian RossVice President, Sales
Brian has over 10 years of Benefits experience, previously working with Alberta Blue Cross and a large Calgary brokerage before joining Navigate Benefit Solutions in 2018. Brian is the winner of the 2018 & 2019 Navigate Bell Award and in 2020 earned the role of Vice President, Sales. Brian is invested in the success of his clients and often finds himself a patron of their ventures. He immerses himself in niche businesses and is happy to take on their unique challenges. Brian makes a fine cocktail and is the office go-to guy for restaurant recommendations. Look for him on the slopes, at the hockey game or kicking back at the cabin with his wife & three kids.
Kelly WhiteVP, Operations
A native Calgarian, Kelly holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree from the University of Calgary and his Group Benefits Associate designation from Dalhousie University. Kelly is a veteran of the insurance industry with almost 30 years in group benefits, including 15 with a major national insurance carrier. He brings to Navigate an impressive background in all aspects of benefit plan design, funding, and administration. He takes pride in delivering great advice and service to plan sponsors and their employees. When not at work, Kelly fills his spare time with golf and family and devotes time to volunteer efforts in the community. His family time stays busy through their love of animals – evident by their home full of five dogs!
Amie FarmerSenior Analyst
Amie came to Navigate Financial Group in 2012 after attending the University of Arkansas. While she originally hails from the USA, new Canadian citizen Amie brings a scrupulous level of detail and personality to her work as a Sales Analyst. All of these attributes made Amie the perfect candidate to win the 2018 Navigate Spirit Award. When she isn’t hard at work Amie can be found outdoors with her Newfoundland dog, camping, travelling and reading.
Kevin HaughtonSenior Advisor
Kevin, a University of Lethbridge graduate, has been in the group benefits industry since 2002. After spending more than 5 years with large Canadian firms, Kevin became licensed and started his own brokerage which he ran for 10 years before joining Navigate Financial Group. He currently sits on three Boards of Directors and is a mentor for students at the Haskayne School of Business. Kevin works with and supports over a dozen charities in the Calgary area. Kevin can be found spending time with his wife & 2 children or hard at play waterskiing and with his baseball and hockeys teams.
Nikita LachanceManager, Client Relations
Nikita carries 10 years of financial service experience, previously with two Canadian insurance carriers. She is invested in ensuring Navigate clients receive the best possible experience, in fact she’s adamant about it. Always up for a challenge, Nikita prides herself on finding solutions and creating clarity. She wants to be the creator of your “Ah-ha!” moment. She enjoys travel (beach please!), camping, paddle boarding and hiking with her Husband and dogs. Invite Nikita to your party and hope she brings her spinach dip.
Emma joined Navigate Financial Group the fall of 2018. She holds a Bsc in Biological Sciences with a specialization in Genetics but we are lucky that she is sharing her intellect with us helping our renewals run smoothly. Her cheerful personality and scrupulous organization make her an asset to our team. Since joining the team, the office Post-It note order has tripled. Although she is no longer plays for the Women’s National Basketball team, she has found that putting her efforts toward reffing, coaching and camps for children keeps her busy. Emma’s love of animals has recently led her to volunteering at AARCS.
Shawn ProbeBusiness Development Manager, Saskatchewan
Shawn is a graduate of the Business Career College and University of Regina where he graduated with a BEd and Music degree. As well as working as the Business Development manager for the Saskatchewan area Shawn has also found success as the owner and manager of Provista Group. His relatability and sense of humour are an asset in his position as he leads Navigate Financial Group into a new area. Shawn keeps busy with his family of five and enjoys spending time fishing, hunting, sledding and exploring the great outdoors when he isn’t in office.
Jared ProbeBranch Manager, Edmonton
Jared is a graduate of NAIT, where he earned a diploma in Computer Systems Technology and later returned as a teacher. Since joining Navigate in 2004, Jared’s great personality, tremendous dedication and ability to provide exemplary customer care is well-known to his clients. During his teaching tenure, he developed the skill of being able to actively listen to clients and effectively determine their needs. Jared played for the Canadian National Rugby team and was short-listed as one of the top 30 players in Canada. His sportsmanship, drive and determination continue to serve him well in his business endeavours. Now a devoted family man, Jared plays on a first division Rugby team when he isn’t busy establishing a base of diverse companies.
Bobbie-Jean LavigneClient Relations Specialist
Bobbie-Jean’s passion for customer service can be traced back to the early days of her student and professional career. Whether as the president of her college student committee, volunteering with CISV (Children’s International Summer Villages), or working in the service industry, she has always been committed to helping people and building relationships from the start! With a certificate in Business Administration from Eastern
College, Bobbie-Jean brings lots of knowledge and experience along with her East Coast charm and some questionable Acadian French. She keeps herself busy with her continued passion for volunteering with CISV, baseball, hiking, camping, biking, traveling, and spending time with her dog Mookie.
